The Accessible Chess Board
The Project
In order to create an accessible chessboard, I used a VEX IQ robotic system that would move chess pieces, controlled by LED touch sensors, representing a chessboard. This would eliminate the need for picking and moving a chess piece. Vex IQ is a robotic platform that designs, builds, programs, and drives a robot to complete any given challenge. The control center of the robot is known as the “brain” and contains the central processing unit(CPU). When I touch these sensors, it can print out the coordinates onto a screen, which tells a robot to move around, under the board, moving the chess pieces.
