Automatic Hand Sanitizer using Arduino UNO

The Project

built an Automatic Hand Sanitizer Dispenser using an Arduino Uno, ultrasonic sensor, and a servo motor. When a hand is detected near the sensor, the servo automatically dispenses sanitizer without any touch. Inspiration: Inspired by the need for touchless hygiene solutions during the COVID-19 pandemic, this project was aimed at reducing the spread of germs and promoting safe public health practices. What was difficult? The main challenge was calibrating the ultrasonic sensor to detect hands at the right distance and ensuring precise and consistent servo movement for accurate dispensing. Applications: Homes, schools, and offices for hygiene Hospitals and clinics to prevent infection spread Public places like malls and transport hubs Smart hygiene stations in institutions and events
