The Project

With the monumental improvement in science and medication, human beings now have a much longer lifespan than the human race has ever experienced. For senior citizens, whether their struggle is physical, mental, or just a battle against time, medication is an essential part of their lives. However, when medications are missed or taken incorrectly, the consequences can be detrimental to their health and bring unnecessary complications into their life. This innovative pillbox allows users to receive notifications both on the pillbox, through the ESP32, as well as on their phone, through the app. The ESP and app are connected through the scanning of a QR code that is displayed on the ESP, which allows users to conveniently add pills on both their phone and in the pillbox. This allows seniors who are not good with technology an easy way to control their medication.
