Glowee Smart Lamp
The Project
This project is an intelligent lamp, fully automated with Arduino. It features an OLED display, a vibration sensor, a temperature and humidity sensor, an infrared (IR) sensor, a buzzer, a vortex fan, 12 RGB LEDs, a Bluetooth module, and three buttons. I was inspired by my desire to have a light diffuser in my room that could also function as a smart device with several additional features. Similarly, this lamp can serve as a night light for small children and help improve their sleep quality. Everything I create follows two principles: functionality and aesthetics. As a result, the initial design phase was challenging, as I measured all the components with millimetric precision to integrate them into a 3D-printed cover. I used PETG filament, which provides better durability. The project uses one Arduino Uno board, which is known for having a single clock. I wanted the lamp to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, so I conducted in-depth research into Arduino's capabilities. I discovered that the Arduino IDE offers a "Task Scheduler" library, which organizes tasks with millisecond intervals, making them appear to run in parallel. In the future, I would like to use a more advanced Arduino board and improve the accuracy of some sensors through better coding.
