SMART WOUND MONITORING SYSTEM

The Project

Smart Wound Monitoring System The Smart Wound Monitoring System is an innovative healthcare prototype designed to monitor wound conditions using smart sensors and a connected mobile application. The system uses a gas sensor, pH sensor, and moisture sensor to analyze wound conditions and help detect possible signs of infection or abnormal healing in real time. The collected data is sent wirelessly to a mobile app through a connected server for continuous monitoring and alerts. This project was inspired by the challenges faced by patients, elderly people, and those living in remote areas where regular wound monitoring and quick medical attention may not always be available. The idea was to explore how technology and smart sensors can assist in improving healthcare monitoring systems in a simple, affordable, and innovative way. One of the most difficult parts of the project was integrating multiple sensors together and ensuring that the readings remained stable and meaningful. Designing the mobile app connectivity and managing real-time data transfer was also challenging. Another major challenge was creating a compact and non-invasive prototype that looks practical while still being easy to use. This project represents an effort to combine healthcare and technology to create a smarter, faster, and more accessible monitoring solution for the future.
