HitSmart: Measure the Hit, Master the Game
The Project
HitSmart is a sports technology project created by two Grade 5 learners who wanted to answer one big rugby question: How hard are we actually tackling? Inspired by their love of rugby and coding, they used Microbits to measure tackle force using acceleration sensors. They then combined this data with player weight to calculate a power-to-weight ratio, making the results fairer and more scientific.
