A Simulation Platform for Testing Solar Car Aerodynamics and CFD based on Unity

The Project

This project is a beginner-friendly CFD simulation platform developed using Unity and C#. It allows users to upload 3D vehicle models, create driving paths, and visualize airflow and aerodynamic behavior in real time. I was inspired by the challenges student engineering teams face when testing vehicle aerodynamics. Professional CFD software and wind tunnel testing are often expensive and difficult for beginners to use, so I wanted to create a more accessible tool for students and beginner engineers. One of the most difficult parts of the project was balancing simulation realism and performance. I also had to solve problems related to model scaling, collision systems, and custom driving paths. The project combines physics simulation, 3D interaction, and real-time visualization to help users better understand how aerodynamics affects vehicle performance.
