Erg-Connect

The Project

Erg-Connect is a motion-analysis application designed to help rowers improve their technique and prevent injuries through personalized feedback. Inspired by personal experiences with rowing injuries and the difficulty of receiving consistent coaching attention, the project was created to provide athletes with accessible, real-time guidance on their form. Using video-based pose estimation, Erg-Connect analyzes key body movements during each phase of the rowing stroke and identifies technical inefficiencies that may reduce performance or increase injury risk. One of the biggest challenges was translating complex biomechanical data into feedback that athletes could easily understand and apply. Developing accurate motion tracking while keeping the app accessible and user-friendly also required extensive testing and refinement. Ultimately, Erg-Connect combines a passion for rowing and technology to help athletes train smarter, improve efficiency, and stay healthy throughout their athletic careers.
