The Project

HaloTrack™ is a wearable-connected mobile safety system that detects possible falls and instantly alerts caregivers with location data. The system combines a necklace-style wearable, a cloud backend, and a caregiver mobile app. The app links incoming alerts to a user profile and displays emergency information in real time. Caregivers can register devices, check device status, review fall history, and open map directions to the incident. Some key challenges were keeping alerts reliable during weak or lost network connection, balancing simplicity with useful caregiver information, and balancing live tracking with privacy and battery life.
