180° Radar sensor

The Project

I built a Home Security System using an Arduino, an ultrasonic sensor, a servo motor, a buzzer, and a button. The idea is simple: when the system is armed, the servo scans the area, and if something comes too close (within 76 cm), the buzzer sounds for 5 seconds to warn or scare off the intruder. The button lets me arm or disarm the system manually. I’ve always been interested in how security systems work, and I thought it would be cool to try building one myself. I wanted a project that was both useful and fun, and something that combines different parts like sensors, motors, and alarms — not just a single sensor or blinking light. Plus, I liked the idea of creating something that could actually help protect a home. One Thing I struggle in was wiring all the parts when I ran out of GND pins, but I solved that by learning how to connect multiple wires to a shared ground.
