Army RADAR system using Arduino UNO

The Project

We built an Army RADAR System using an Arduino Uno, ultrasonic sensor, and servo motor. The ultrasonic sensor rotates with the servo to scan the surroundings, detecting objects and displaying their position (distance and angle) in a radar-like format. Inspiration: Inspired by modern military surveillance and border protection technologies, I wanted to explore how RADAR systems detect intrusions and monitor zones. The project also reflects the growing importance of automation in national defense and real-time tracking systems. What was difficult? The main challenges were: Synchronizing sensor readings with servo angles for accurate object positioning. Visualizing the data in a meaningful, radar-style format. Filtering out noise to avoid false detections. Applications: Military training simulations and border monitoring prototypes Obstacle detection and collision avoidance in robotics Home security systems with motion detection Educational tools to demonstrate sonar/radar principles Smart surveillance in restricted or sensitive areas
