Repeating Patterns

The Project

Repeating Patterns is a creative and visually engaging Scratch project where the Scratch Cat draws square bracket shapes repeatedly to form a pattern. The cat moves in a repetitive pattern to create multiple square brackets that are evenly spaced and form a beautiful design. How it works: The Scratch Cat moves in a fixed direction to draw a square bracket pattern: "[" and "]". The cat repeats this action multiple times, creating a repeating sequence of square brackets. Each square bracket is drawn in sequence, and the cat moves to a new position after drawing each one. The pattern is repeated in a loop, allowing the design to grow as the cat continues drawing. This project demonstrates: Repetition and loops in Scratch to create continuous patterns. Pen extension for drawing square brackets. Movement using simple directions to draw repeated elements. It’s a great way to explore pattern generation, loops, and how repetition can be used to create more complex designs in Scratch
