Automated Weather Prediction System Project Description Our Automated Weather Prediction System is an AI-powered platform designed to provide accurate, real-time weather forecasts using machine learning models and IoT-based environmental sensors. The system collects atmospheric data—such as temperature, humidity, air pressure, and wind speed—processes it using predictive algorithms, and delivers timely forecasts to users through a web and mobile interface. Inspiration This project was inspired by the need for reliable, localized weather forecasting, especially in rural and underserved communities where traditional weather services may be limited. Climate change has led to unpredictable weather patterns, affecting agriculture, disaster preparedness, and daily activities. By leveraging AI and IoT, our system aims to empower farmers, disaster response teams, and the general public with real-time weather insights, enhancing climate resilience and decision-making. Challenges One of the biggest challenges was integrating diverse data sources to improve prediction accuracy. Ensuring that the machine learning models could handle large datasets efficiently and adapt to changing weather patterns was another hurdle. Additionally, setting up low-cost, energy-efficient IoT sensors to operate in remote areas while maintaining connectivity posed a technical challenge. However, through continuous testing and optimization, we successfully developed a scalable solution that balances accuracy, affordability, and accessibility.
