Fire Evacuation Smart Rope

The Project

My product is a smart rope designed for the fire evacuation of primary schools. Teachers often have trouble getting pupils to behave and follow the rules during a fire evacuation and this can be very serious. So, I made a solution. My fire evacuation smart rope utilises an Arduino and a lot of wiring to be able to count the number of children holding onto it at a time and display that number to the teacher at the front so she knows that the entire class is with her at all times throughout the evacuation. It is meant to improve the safety of young children in school and streamline the fire evacuation process.
