The Project

The traditional globe has lost all its charm and have been deduced to a mere showcase. Most of us know the country's name but do not know much info about it. Hence our project the "smart globe" Most of the things in the future will shift to a virtual platform. The smart globe is a virtual adaptation of the orginal globe while still keeping you connected to the physical world. Suggesting that a balance should be maintained between a physical and a virtual world First the user tells the mode that he wants to use using the microphone. He can choose from three modes. The modes are searching a country, exploring any country and quiz mode. In the search a country mode the smart globe ask the country that the user wants to search. The input is recognised by the raspberry pi which checks the latitude and longitude of the country and moves the motor according Afterwards it finds the content and images from Wikipedia The images are displayed on the screen and the text is converted to speech and spoken by the microphone
