The Project

Cellular Guardians is a tower defense game that revolves around the immune system. Players have to command various cells found in the immune system to fend off pathogens. In order to secure victory, players have to employ clever tactics and strategies. The challenging yet entertaining gameplay works in tandem with the subtle educational facts to ensure players can get an enjoyable experience all while learning more about the immune system as well as pathogens.

Team Comments

Cellular Guardians teaches simple human biology. Our goal is to give entertainment while sliding in some information. We feel this project is most optimal as it doesn't force the info on you or force to learn the info before playing.

We found it difficult to add all the intended features in the given time. We ended up improvising, adding only the essential ones and removing relatively unfeasible goals. Certain targets like enemy bosses, more unique cells and pathogens were dismissed.

We will add more viruses and cells and bosses into the game. 4 viruses and cells we feel isn’t enough. We want to make the tutorial optional. Tutorial is forced right now and we want to change that.
