Website for Recycling of School Uniform

The Project

In view of the frequent replacement of school uniforms at our school, we create a website for students and parents to prompt the recycling of school uniforms based on the survey from parents. Through our observation and survey, we find the rapid outgrowing of uniforms leading to a surplus of rarely worn uniforms at home. Surveying 59.1% of the school, we discovered a strong interest among 98.4% of the respondents will take part in the uniform recycling project. As a school uniform project team, we designed the UI of website and used Django to develop the website where all the recycled uniform are shown. Anyone interested can make a deal offline with the seller using our school currency which we can buy used books or use in the school flea market. We hope it not only solves the problem of recycling school uniforms for our students and parents, but also let the community realize the urgency of climate change and take actions for the Sustainable Development Goals to cut CO2 emission.
