《 China Space Station》
The Project
This work mainly introduces the Chinese space station to our peers. There are three parts in total. The first part simulates rocket launch process, the second part uses GIFs to introduce how China Space Station is built, and the third part introduces a jigsaw puzzle game to help partners remember the construction of the space station. In our textbooks, Neil Alden Armstrong is described as a hero of all mankind. His words, "That's sons mallstep fman, one giant leap fmankind", have inspired generations of Chinese people, including us. On November 3, 2022, the basic configuration of the Chinese space station "T" was assembled in orbit, indicating that China's space dream has finally been realized. We are so excited and proud, so we want to showcase this magnificent moment to our peers through this project. We spent a lot of time recording, cutting videos and audios. We first searched for the video on the official website of the China Aviation Administration. After recording, the download format was MP4, but Scratch does not support MP4. Therefore, we need to convert the video to GIF, convert the backgroud sound to MP3, and then upload them to Scratch separately. The most difficult technically is the puzzle. We created two lists to record the position of each clone and the direction it changed after being clicked. Once all clones have a direction equal to 90, the puzzle is complete. In order to simulate rocket launch, the sky, clouds, and stars need to move in the opposite direction of the rocket since the rocket itself does not move , and different sky backgrounds need to connect smoothly, which also took a lot of time to debug. We will add more sections, such as fun Science Q&A, simulation of space weightlessness, and even lunar exploration etc.
