Shoot the Hoop

The Project

This project which i have made using scratch is inspired by my interest in basketball. In this game, the player (cat) has to shoot the ball through the hoop using the different arrow keys and the spacebar. The sound effects and text pop ups when you score a basket makes it more fun.

Team Comments

I chose to make this project to bridge my interest in basketball with the engrossment I have in coding.

I was facing difficulty in the code for making the cat jump which was mainly because I had accidentally put the wrong coordinate (x instead of y) and couldn't spot where I was making the mistake so with a little bit of help from my sister I figured it out.

If I had more time, I would add a background song through out the game along with the already prevailing cheering and pop sound (which comes while attempting a basket).
