Greely
The Project
"Greely" is an app to promote GreenLivingScreen. GreenLivingScreen is a Japanese environmental protection method of covering the windows of a house with vines. They reduce summer heat, reduce energy consumption and create a beautiful landscape. “Greely” has three functions. (i) The Know function: this is a good opportunity to learn how to grow GreenLivingScreen and their environmental benefits, so that you can get started. The ChatGPT function has also been introduced to answer various questions, such as "What are the best plants for green GreenLivingScreen in Malaysia?". (ii) Simulation function: you can imagine how a GreenLivingScreen grows in your own house through AR and image synthesis, which makes you want to grow it even more. (iii) Posting function: When you have grown your GreenLivingScreen, post a photo of it and share it with everyone. You can also see other people's beautiful GreenLivingScreen, which makes you want to grow them again.
Team Comments
We chose to make this project because...We need to save electricity for the sake of the environment and the rising cost of electricity. GreenLivingScreen is a fun way to save electricity. It also has a healing effect and you can eat the fruits. We want to spread these wonderful GreenLivingScreen not only in Japan but also around the world!
What we found difficult and how we worked it outIn posting function, it was difficult to think about which tools to use to create it and to programme access rights for the photos. In AR, I tried Javascript for the first time. I learned it from the mentor one by one. And I researched and created it by myself.
Next time, we would...We will make the AR simulation function available to change the viewing angle to make the pictures wobble to make it more realistic. We will try to make the simulation function as realistic as possible. We want to spread this app around the world and make the world full of GreenLivingScreen.
