We chose to make this project because...

Food insecurity and environmental disaster are becoming common place around the world and mostly on places like Sénégal. Teaching at a early age kids in Senegalese school through CoderDojos how to use sensors and microcontrollers to monitor plants, check weather pattern etc, will prepare kids.

What we found difficult and how we worked it out

Initial setup may seems difficult to update right firmware but after the firmware is update the sensors can be recognized and works as intended via the visual display.

Next time, we would...

Use Raspberry Pi to integrate cloud computing, weather previsions via wifi in addition to humidity, temperature and soil moisture sensors.
