Affordable wheelchair automation

The Project

The price of an electric wheelchair ranges from $1,500-$15,000, which is too expensive for people in developing or third-world countries and many people in first world countries. I have designed and built an attachable automation system that is a lot more affordable than the current option, priced at $350. My product is an automation system that costs $350 that is attached to a $100 manual wheelchair, to provide an electric wheelchair experience for $450.
