The Project

Vefjiaw's Package Tool (VPT) is a user friendly package manager, created for a Linux Distribution called Vefjiaw Linux, but can be used on any Linux Distribution. VPT will also change the immutability state of the operating system, for example if the root filesystem is mutable, then it will remain mutable, but if it is immutable, VPT will change the filesystem to mutable while it is installing.

I chose to make this project because I wanted a simple to use and fast Package Manager for my Linux Distribution.

I found it difficult to adapt to Rust(it was my first project using Rust) and also found it pretty difficult to implement the installation of packages(especially copying the files)

If I had more time I would probably add some AI elements to VPT, so it could work more efficiently.
