TECNOACADEMIA ITINERANTE NARIÑO - SENA
The Project
It has been observed in the world that most of the materials that are recyclable come from PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) plastic bottles, and that they generate a significant impact on nature. The human being, in order to solve the impact generated by plastic bottles, devises and proposes the implementation of a model that tries to imitate the functioning of nature within the plastic recycling process known as circular economy. Yes, well PET plastic is recyclable, since this material is not treated correctly it generates solid waste that produces adverse effects on the environment such as the death of animals due to plastic ingestion, floods such as those generated from the obstruction of the sewers and pollution of rivers and seas among others.
Team Comments
We chose to make this project because...The apprentices of Tecnoacademia Itinerante Nariño carry out a process of observation and investigation of the problems generated by plastic that is not recycled and how this affects the environment.
What we found difficult and how we worked it outFor the construction of the machine we had problems when manufacturing the mechanical parts such as pinions, but this problem was overcome by designing the parts in CAD programs to later be manufactured in a 3d printer, with biodegradable plastic.
Next time, we would...Would you add to the project a smaller design of the prototype of the machine that is easy to take to other schools so that other children know the machine and the importance of recycling
