The Project

I created a cost-effective project that helps people that work for long periods of time by making them exercise every hour. A lot of side effects happen when someone works for a very long time, so my project helps people with this issue. Also, it does not cost $300 like an Apple Watch which makes it a better choice.

I wanted to make this project because my mom is VERY dedicated to her office work, and she sits in her seat for hours just working and working! My sister and I tried to tell her to get up and move around for her health, however, she said she was busy. So, I designed this watch to make her active.

One difficulty that I was facing while making my project was when the lights in my project were flashing at the wrong moments, or they would not flash at all. At that time, I was using a variable and an if-else statement, but I discovered it worked with a function block instead.

If I had more time to work on this project, I would add a screen time break feature. Every 20 minutes, a light would flash which indicated that you should look off the screen for 20 seconds.
