9-axis IMU Demo

The Project

I used the Arduino Nano and the BNO055 IMU to get real time quaternions and then send them over to a python program (over serial) were I converted them to Euler angles. After that, I used these angles with VPython to create a 3D animation of the breadboard moving.

I did this project as a demonstration of the concepts that go into an IMU.

What I found difficult and how I worked it out

I found that some of the math in this project can be quite difficult. I over came this by trying to learn from online resources.

Next time I would make more sophisticated animations.
