The Project

Explore is a game where you explore a map trying to find your long lost breadcrumbs but there's a twist... You play as a duck(or chicken if you prefer) Our game is an open-world action/adventure game. Explore the world on your search for breadcrumbs and complete many quests along the way.

We chose to make this project because we thought it would be fun and yes! It was SUPER fun making this project and we had soo much fun doing it. We first had the idea of making a game where the player would go around talking to people and they had to deliver food. This is our first game we've made.

When we was making some of the maps the gallery didn't have the exact blocks we needed so we made our own so we created our own sprites and tiles to match our intended art style. Sometimes it was hard to know which code to use to make our ideas work. We did tutorials and asked our teacher for help.

If we had more time we would have changed up the style of the maps to add more detail throughout the game world. Especially in the village, adding NPCs and houses. We want to add more collectibles and interactive elements. We are working on adding cutscenes and dialog. We're adding more action.
