We chose to make this project because...

We originally wanted to make a music player, like a juke box, as everyone enjoys listening to music. This idea changed to create a digitally controlled music box using a glockenspiel and Crumble Controller. We had learnt to programme Crumbles in Computing and we found an example online.

What we found difficult and how we worked it out

We had problems creating the variables, which were movements of the servos, to play the notes. We worked systematically as a team and eventually figured them out. Then we couldn't understand why the programmes weren't running but we discovered we had missed out defining a variable.

Next time, we would...

We would have started earlier so we could fully debug the programmes. We wanted to be able to select the different tunes to play but the Crumble didn't have enough memory for code for all the tunes and a selection code. This could have been solved by using a different controller.
