The Project

This website is about Origami which is an artwork created by folding papers. which is often associated with Japanese culture. In modern usage, the word "origami" is used as an inclusive term for all folding practices, regardless of their culture of origin. In the Japanese language, ori means Folding and Kami means paper.

Personally, I have been interested in this art since long and being a practitioner of this art I was of the opinion that there are very few websites about origami that to giving very basic information about this art . Hence thought of creating a website that teaches this art form in detail

Creating this website was itself quite a difficult task as step by step process of creating various shapes and sizes were not available. I had to use my own experience of creating animal forms and write down the step-by-step process.

I would not do anything differently as I had given a deep thought and had curated and conceived this website on paper before actually designing it on a computer.
