The idea to make an email tracker stemmed from a problem that we dealt with during the virtual school year due to Covid-19: not knowing whether the teacher or my peers have received my email or not.

One obstacle we faced while creating the application was being able to get accurate results despite Gmail’s security system which scans emails for malicious content. Therefore, I decided to use a series of codes that utilizes pixel images to give accurate result regarding the status of an email.

If I had more time, I would make the extension itself look more presentable such as customizing the window that generates the tracking link. Additionally, I would've used a different, easier method in allowing users to track emails by simply clicking a track button instead of copy and pasting a link
