The Project
The initiative to modernizing farming, making farming work easier for the farmer is called smart-grow AI. In very simple terms, it is hardware and software which use data to increase crop production. The hardware has three micro-controllers, the Mega controls and runs the movement because of the motors that drive the wheels. An AI is implemented and it is run using a Raspberry pi 4, solar panel connected to the power to enable the ESP32, and then on-board. The sensors for humidity/temperature(DHT11), water-level (ultrasonic), moisture of the soil and also a Pi Camera are used. Blynk is a website that enables to view the gathered information (data), from this data it is possible to find live information from a website, as well as WhatsApp updates are also given, The YOLO camera model is one significant part of this project as it detects and predicts diseases present in the plants. This invention has decreased the use of water by 43% and pesticide by 35% and show that farming can grow more using automation and IoT while reducing pollution.
