Sid Freewill Racing while learning
The Project
TurboLearn Singapore is an educational racing game that combines fast-paced gameplay with learning and problem-solving. The game is set in a futuristic Singapore-inspired city featuring iconic environments, smart roads, neon skylines, and AI-powered traffic systems. Players race through different tracks while answering quiz questions and completing educational challenges to unlock boosts, power-ups, and special abilities. The questions cover topics like math, science, geography, and general knowledge, making the game both fun and interactive. Correct answers help players gain speed advantages, while wrong answers can slow them down or reduce energy levels. The inspiration for this project came from wanting to make learning more exciting for students through gaming. Since many children enjoy racing games, we thought it would be interesting to combine education with gameplay so players can learn while having fun. The Singapore theme was chosen because of its smart city technology, modern transportation systems, and futuristic environment, which fit perfectly with the concept of an intelligent racing game. One of the most difficult parts of the project was balancing the educational elements with the gameplay. We wanted the game to feel exciting and competitive without interrupting the racing experience. Another challenge was designing the AI opponent cars, integrating the quiz system smoothly into gameplay, and creating tracks inspired by Singapore’s city environment. Through this project, we learned about game development, problem-solving, UI design, AI-based game logic, and how technology can make education more engaging and interactive.
