Meditrack
The Project
Meditrack is a medication management app designed to help seniors take their medications on schedule. It was inspired by my grandparents and my hospital volunteering, where I witnessed cases in which patients, especially seniors, felt disoriented in dealing with medication information and even schedules. To make the medication intake process as convenient as possible, I incorporated features like an OCR scanning tool, pill alarms, dosage information, and an AI assistant into my app. It was challenging for me to design the app in a way that would suit the seniors' needs and allow them to navigate the application easily. I considered using bigger buttons, simpler instructions, straightforward designs, and reminder choices, e.g., "Take now" and "Remind me later." Through this project, I learned how technology can support healthcare by helping people feel more independent and improving safety.
