LumiCycle- Erasing Period Stigma for Younger Generations made by perTech
The Project
Introducing LumiCycle. An App designed by 4 girls with the goal of empowering young women to take control of their own reproductive health. With over 1 in 10 women suffering from endometriosis, and more than 70% undiagnosed, our app aims to widen accessibility to reproductive health. Using features such as a AI, algorithms and a system built specifically for teenagers, we can flag red flags for several reproductive illness, helping girls to not just dismiss their symptoms, but get them checked out. In addition, our system takes into account exam stress, study pressure, emotions and other factors to create flexible cycle predictions that empower young girls about their cycles, and not feel embarrassed about them.
