PTMENU

The Project

PTMENU is a lightweight Python CLI utility dashboard. It features a secure login, a real-time hardware resource monitor (CPU/RAM/Disk), a basic calculator, and a quick text-logging tool for diaries and task lists. Inspiration: Inspired by a passion for minimal, keyboard-driven Linux environments and system administration. The goal was to build a fast, central control panel for daily terminal tasks without heavy graphics. Difficulties: Managing stable file logging loops and preventing crashes during real-time system monitoring. Aligning custom multi-colored ASCII logo art using ANSI escape codes across different terminal screens was also challenging.
