Whole School Team - Astro Pi Mission Zero
The Project
All of our children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 took part in this year’s Mission Zero Astro Pi Challenge. Pupils worked in mixed-age teams, giving children from every year group the opportunity to collaborate, share ideas and learn from one another. Our aim was to make the project accessible, engaging and enjoyable for every learner — and the children fully embraced the challenge. Throughout the project, they demonstrated fantastic teamwork, creativity and enthusiasm. We are incredibly proud to share our whole-school achievement and celebrate the way everyone came together at Pirton Hill Primary School. We hope experiences like this inspire our learners to think big and recognise how coding and technology could open the door to exciting future career opportunities. The only challenge we faced was ensuring that any children who were absent had the opportunity to take part and complete their contribution to the project. We now have a tried and tested plan that worked well to use again next year and beyond! We are absolutely delighted to have reached the Flight Path phase and cannot wait to receive our certificates in June. #GoTeamPirton!
