The Project
Wetlands sustain 40% of global species and combat climate change, yet 35% have vanished in the past 50 years. Saving them requires continuous observation data and public engagement. However, a severe decline in observers due to aging and declining youth interest threaten these efforts. Our solution bridges this critical gap with a dual-app ecosystem. “Bird Counter” equips operators with AI-automated monitoring, cutting observation costs by 83% while securing sustainable data. This data feeds “Bird Quest,” an engaging, gamified collection app targeting youth to boost their interest in nature. By uniting AI and public engagement, we will protect global wetlands.
