ChronoSim: A computational model to simulate discrete time crystals
The Project
My project is about exposing people to this unique and fascinating idea of quantum time crystals. In essence, like your traditional lattice structure in a salt crystal or diamond, where it repeats in space, time crystals repeat in time. My fascination for physics, computers and the quantum world has inspired me to pursue a path of not only trying to figure out what it all means but to help others not to be obstructed by the barrier of complex physics - and what better way to do it than using a computer simulation! This project has been one that I have been working on for the past six months and by no means has it been easy. The math, physics and advance programming of python (such as libraries like pandas, numpy and matplotlab) were definitely the most challenging parts of the project yet learning new things along the way has deepened my love and passion for programming simulations even further!
