The Project

Lumenza is a student-led magazine and a creative space dedicated to skilled yet undiscovered photographers. It is a photographer-niched publication that places emphasis on the creator behind the image rather than solely on the photograph itself. Photography is widely recognized and celebrated — but is the artist behind the masterpiece recognized enough? This question inspired the foundation of Lumenza. While exploring the work of incredibly talented visual storytellers who use their cameras to narrate powerful stories, it became clear that their voices deserve greater visibility. Lumenza was born as a safe and empowering space for photographers to not only feature their work but also to be known and acknowledged by a wider audience. It celebrates both their artistry and their identity as creators.
