The Project

SecureGuard is a cutting-edge anti-theft app created using MIT App Inventor that helps protect your mobile phone from unauthorized access or theft. When someone tries to pick up or move your phone, a loud alarm is triggered, warning you or alerting people nearby. This gives you peace of mind when your phone is unattended in public places like libraries, cafés, or classrooms. Problem statement: Phones left unattended in public places are vulnerable to theft, and current security features don’t alert users when the phone is moved. Solution: SecureGuard is an anti-theft app that triggers a loud alarm when the phone is picked up or moved, helping prevent theft and alerting nearby people.
