CODEversity
The Project
CODEversity is a nine-thousand-line (and counting) labor of love I began last August to give child Neurodivergent learners the same breakthrough coding gave me: a space where traits like hyper-focus, pattern recognition, and outside-the-box thinking shine instead of frustrate. Drawing on my own journey from “rage-quit” moments to USA Computing Olympiad Platinum Level success, I built a gamified curriculum that turns every concept into an interactive challenge and an adaptive engine that watches for early signs of overload and automatically offers hints or simplifies steps before frustration takes over. Each feature follows the Strength-Based Education model, matching content to Neurodiverse learning styles so progress feels natural, confidence grows with every solved puzzle, and problem-solving becomes something students seek out rather than dread. The hardest part has been calibrating that real-time personalization, finding the sweet spot where lessons stay engaging without tipping into overwhelm, but the result is a free, open platform that bridges classroom learning and future tech careers while reminding Neurodiverse minds that their differences are precisely what make them great programmers.
