Voice-Controlled Jelly

The Project

This project uses voice commands to control a jelly character in Scratch. Instead of using a keyboard, you simply say directions like "up," "down," "left," or "right," and the fish will move in that direction. It’s a fun and hands-free way to interact with the game using your voice! We were inspired by voice-activated technologies like smart assistants and wanted to bring that experience into a simple, creative project. It’s exciting to see how voice recognition can be used to control animations and make digital interactions more natural. The biggest challenge was getting the voice commands to work accurately. Sometimes the program didn’t understand the command right away, so we had to experiment with speaking clearly and fine-tuning how the program responds. Connecting voice input to smooth movement in Scratch was also a fun puzzle to solve.
