Mall Entry Automatic Door Lock System Using Arduino UNO

The Project

We developed a Mall Entry Automatic Door Lock System using an Arduino Uno, ultrasonic sensor, and a servo motor. The system detects a person approaching the entrance and automatically unlocks the door by rotating the servo, ensuring smooth and touchless entry. Inspiration: Inspired by the need for automated access control in high-traffic areas like malls, especially for improved hygiene and security, I wanted to create a system that minimizes human contact while maintaining controlled entry. What was difficult? The main challenge was calibrating the ultrasonic sensor to detect people at the correct distance while avoiding false triggers from background movement. Applications: Shopping malls and commercial complexes Hospitals and offices for contactless access Smart buildings and automated security systems Public entry points requiring hands-free operation
