Dishcovery

The Project

We are Caroline and Nina and we are the creators of the mobile app Dishcovery. Dishcovery is an app that compiles Yelp reviews and constructs a sentiment analysis rating of dishes from restaurants. With Dishcovery, you'll be able to find the most liked dish from the experiences of previous customers at any restaurant you choose. Unlike Yelp which only provides an overall 5-star rating system for its reviews, Dishcovery ranks individual food dishes on a precise decimal scale from -1 to 1. This decimal is calculated based on the positivity or negativity in the tone of the review. All of these calculations are displayed in a user-friendly UI in our mobile app.
