Save The Tree
The Project
This project uses the "radio feature" of the microbit to help protect trees. One microbit is attached to a tree, and the other stays with me. If someone tries to cut or shake the tree, the microbit on the tree detects the movement and sends a radio signal to the second microbit. This second microbit then triggers an alarm, alerting me so I can take action to protect the tree. The project works by using a shake detection sensor on the sender microbit and a simple alarm system on the receiver microbit. I wrote separate codes for both: one to detect the shake and send a message, and the other to receive the message and sound the alarm. I was inspired to make this project because I care about the environment and wanted to create a simple, low-cost way to help prevent illegal tree cutting. The biggest challenge was making sure the radio communication was fast and reliable, but with some testing and learning, I got it working well! Thank you for exploring my project and supporting the idea of saving trees!
