PHOTOSYNTHESIS
The Project
Photosynthesis is the process by which plants and some other organisms convert solar energy into chemical energy. In this process, plants use sunlight, carbon dioxide, and water to produce glucose and oxygen. The Photosynthesis Process 1. Light Absorption: Plants absorb sunlight. 2. Carbon Dioxide and Water Absorption: Plants absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and water from the soil. 3. Glucose Production: With the help of solar energy, plants convert carbon dioxide and water into glucose. 4. Oxygen Release: Oxygen is released as a byproduct of photosynthesis, released into the atmosphere. Importance of Photosynthesis 1. Energy Production: Photosynthesis is the primary source of energy for plants. 2. Oxygen Production: Photosynthesis increases the amount of oxygen in the atmosphere, essential for life. 3. Life Cycle: Photosynthesis plays a crucial role in the life cycle, providing necessary energy and oxygen for plants and living organisms to survive.
