Pong
The Project
We are two students in the A class of Junior High School in Greece, and we created a Pong game using Scratch. We made this project during our computer science class, with the guidance of our teacher. Our game is a simple and fun version of the classic Pong game, where two paddles bounce a ball back and forth. We learned how to use Scratch blocks to control movement, detect collisions, and keep score. We were inspired by retro arcade games and wanted to try making one ourselves. It was exciting to see how a few blocks of code could turn into a working game! The most difficult part was adjusting the speed and direction of the ball so the game would be challenging but fair. We also had to test it many times to make sure it worked properly. We’re proud of what we created and happy that we learned so much about coding and game design!
