Label & Lock: Key Matching System

The Project

This project is made to solve a real problem in my father's garage. Every day, many cars come for repair, and their keys are stored in a drawer. But it’s very hard to remember which key belongs to which car, and all keys get mixed up, which wastes time and creates confusion. So, I made a Scratch project where: Every key has a label (like car number or name). There is a key holder with label slots. Only if the label matches, the key is accepted and stored. If the label is wrong or missing, the key is not accepted. What inspired it? I saw my father struggling daily with finding the right car keys. It was frustrating for him and for the customers too. So, I thought — why not use Scratch to build a smart key system that works based on labels? What was difficult? Making sure the label check system works properly. Designing the key and key holder to look real. Adding the logic to reject incorrect keys.
