Smart Water tank Monitoring System
The Project
Description: This project helps track daily water usage and prevents water wastage. Users can input how many liters of water they used. If the usage goes over 100 liters, the tank turns red and shows a warning. It gives real-time feedback and teaches the importance of saving water in daily life. Problem: Water is a precious natural resource, and wastage of water is a serious concern, especially in urban households. Many people unintentionally use more water than needed because they don’t track their daily consumption. Solution Through Scratch: This Scratch-based simulation helps to track daily water usage and encourages people to stay within their water usage limits. Key Features: • Track Water Usage: A variable records how much water has been used. • Set a Limit: Daily usage limit is set (e.g., 100 liters). • Live Display: Remaining water is shown on screen. • Color Warning: If the usage goes above 100 liters, the water tank sprite turns red and shows "Limit Exceeded". Benefits: 1. Prevents Water Wastage – Helps users stay within a fixed limit. 2. Real-Time Feedback – Easy-to-read numbers showing remaining water. 3. Visual Alert – The tank changes color when the limit is crossed. 4. Simple and Educational – Created in Scratch for school-level learning and awareness. Future Plan: 1. Remote Monitoring – Integrate mobile/web platform for online usage tracking. 2. Usage History – Store and analyze usage patterns over time. 3. Automation – Shut off water automatically once limit is exceeded. 4. Multi-Tank Setup – Track water usage across multiple tanks.
