The Project

In today's era, we are facing various problems regarding environmental issues, and power wasting is one of them. We know very well that most of the electric power waste occurs because user generally forgets to off the system which uses electricity as a power source. We have to develop a device that can switch your system without much physical effort or remotely. The system should have wireless connectivity so that if we forget to switch off the system, we can easily switch off the system without having any problem accessing that location physically. 1.Tell us about your project. Why did you choose to make this project? We have to develop a device that can switch on or off your system without much physical effort or remotely. The system should have wireless connectivity so that if we forget to switch off the system, we can easily switch off the system without having any problem accessing that location physically. Here, to sort out this problem, we will develop an Arduino based Home automation system. Our system will use Arduino as a brain whereas, Bluetooth module for wireless connectivity. We can switch on or off the system using any Arduino supported Bluetooth app. 2.What did you find difficult while making your project and how did you work it out? While making this project, we were facing a problem in controlling high voltage appliances with our Arduino board and for finding the solution, we took the help of the internet after that we came to know that the solution is the relay module. Our STEM teacher also helped us in the interfacing of the relay module using an Arduino board. 3.Is there anything you would do differently or you would add if you had more time? Yes, if we had more time then we would try to make this project an IoT project so that we can control our appliances from anywhere.
